The ARRB was established by the JFK Records Act (P.L. 102-526) and operated from 1994 through 1998. It reviewed approximately 4 million pages, designated materials as assassination records (including the Zapruder film), and resolved agency postponement requests. Its 1998 Final Report concluded the Board's work; the Collection at NARA continues to receive tranches, most recently the 2025 EO 14176 drops and the January 2026 release.
